About this site
What it is
Sleep Here Tonight covers 16 US cities. Each guide starts with one decision, the part of town to sleep in, and gives the reason, the typical price, and how long it takes to get everywhere else. Then it covers what you'd want to know once the room is sorted: when to go, how to get around, what's worth the time, and what to eat.
How the guides are made
Each guide is researched and drafted with AI tools, then checked against primary sources: transit agency fare pages, airport ground transport pages, tourism board hotel reports, venue and event sites, and recent local news. Anything we couldn't confirm is left out. Every guide lists the sources it was checked against and the date it was last updated.
Prices are typical mid-range hotel rates per night, rounded to $10. They change with the season and with big conventions, so the booking links always open the live prices.

How the site pays for itself
Booking links go to Booking.com. When the site joins its affiliate program, we'll earn a commission on bookings made through those links at no extra cost to you, and the note at the bottom of every page will say so. Nobody pays to have a neighborhood recommended.
Until there are advertisers, the ad spaces point to local parks groups in each city. We aren't affiliated with them and they haven't endorsed the site; we just think the parks are one of the best parts of any trip.
Advertise
Each city page and the homepage have one ad space, sized to sit in the page's grid. Travel brands, hotels, tours and local businesses that fit a city guide are welcome. Email us for details.
